Jared found a really cool place to see and feed bears. I had my doubts, I am not going to lie, but the second we got inside, I was like a little kid! Loved it! Sooo much fun. They would climb up and preform to get you to throw them more food. After we left there, we went and checked out the cabbage patch place in Helen. It was ok. Not as great as I remembered from my childhood. Anyways, I love my husband for planning such a fun day for us! I love him the mostest!!!

Brighton is growing sooo fast! She is already a month old tomorrow!!! Where has the time gone? Is this how it will always be? I need to find the slow motion button (except at night, FAST FORWARD) jk! But I couldn’t love being a mom more! She is so amazing. I love her little sounds, her smell, snuggling, her little clothes, little bracelets and bows!

Is it sad when you feel so accomplished that you have managed to keep your baby alive for two whole weeks? Well, I do! And on top of that my hair is clean and my house, so I am pretty much feeling like super mom.... JK. So this is just a silly picture Jared took when we were ichatting and I was making Brighton give him funny faces. I guess I am pretty comfortable with my little velcro. She pretty much wants me to hold her all the time, thus the name. If I let her sleep in my bed at night, she sleeps HOURS longer. So don’t even judge me for admitting she has ended up in my more than once:) But I thought I would report some things I have learned so far... When Brighton cries, I cry... Now that sounds a lot worse than it is, she has only cried twice and it was at the pediatricians office when they were sticking her with needles. But you feel very helpless. So apparently, emotions mixed with her cries= me crying. I have this really cool app on my iphone that helps me monitor EVERYTHING Brighton... Naps, last feeding, diaper changes, last pump and so much more. For some reason, I get very excited when she has a dirty diaper. I think it is because when she had jaundice she needed wet and dirty diapers to get the bad stuff out of her to get better and for some reason it has just stuck with me! I bet that won’t last long... Another thing I have learned is my dogs are VERY intrigued by Brighton. They lick and and sniff her everyday! sadie always wants to be right by her. But the biggest thing I have learned is how hard nursing is. I am not complaining or begrudge it, but I just had no idea the time, pain, and patience it takes. I would like to publicly thank my mom for the sacrifice she made nursing me. I really feel like it is a dying art and a lot less women are doing it these days. I am not sure if I will make it for the long haul, but I am really going to try. In addition, I have learned the magicalness (yea, that is officially a word) of naps. The days are all becoming a blur, but the days I get some good naps in with the little princess, I remember a lot more and feel so much better. Thank you so much to everyone who has stopped by to visit. I CRAVE contact with the outside world. So thanks for all your love and support. Hope this blog is somewhat coherent due to lack of sleep.

We had Brighton Olivia Jambor on Tuesday and just got home from the hospital today. Let’s start by saying WOW! So many new experiences... New pain, new worries, new sleep schedule, new smells, new everything, new kind of love... And to keep this short and sweet since I don’t have the time, or mental/emotional capacity to write much more...

-We had a relatively easy delivery (minus Jared passing out and the nurse not believing that I was ready to deliver)
-She is healthy (minus a small heart murmur and losing weight waiting for my milk to come in)
-Jared is an awesome Dad
-My parent’s and Sam are taking GREAT care of us
-The dogs..... Sadie is a little guard dog and wants to keep baby safe, Nixon wants to taste her and get really close.
-I am doing ok, just very sore
-She looks like Jared
-Brighton LOVES to sleep more than anything in the world, so she at least got that from me
-She has awesome lips and tons of hair

I’ll make a photo album sometime this weekend with more photos. But she sleeps so much that we haven’t gotten too many great shots yet. Plus she is still a little yellow with jaundis (however you spell it)

Not too much that it really affected driving, but enough to be magical! We loved watching it fall outside the window. Then we took a family walk with the pups to the school behind our house. They loved it. Even Sadie trudged through like a true trooper in her juicy coat, until we were a few houses down from ours and the snow had caked onto her legs in big clumps. We picked her up for the last few yards. But wow, this storm gave me some Colorado fever. The only other downer was my HUGE belly... I couldn’t zip my coat, so I kinda got wet and cold, but well worth it :) I love how everytime it snows, everyone makes snowmen everywhere you look. On our way to church today, We saw one that QT made with mops as hair and a gas can, we saw a snowmen family, and lots of multi-racial ones (cause of the dirt mixed in). It made me smile which is getting harder and harder the closer we are getting to my due date... I have a Dr’s appointment tomorrow to see if I can be induced Wednesday night. I am sooo excited/anxious. I have been jumping on the trampoline, bouncing on a workout ball, running up the stairs, taking long walks, and other various activities ;) I am ready!!! I’ll let you know what we find out, but cross your fingers that we will have a healthy baby girl on Thursday... FOUR DAY!!! AWWWWWWWWWWWW

There was pink everywhere you looked, flowers, candy, baby clothes, pink swings, pink pack-n-plays, pink mini juicy strollers, and pink clothes!!! Then there was the food... They made EVERY single one of my favorite foods. Like all of them. There was not a plate big enough for all the magic... They had a really fun game in the middle and then so many freaking presents. I feel very blessed to have so many great family and friends!

I spent a little time trying to make the worlds cutest blogspot and I realized I just need to take a website class at a Jr College or something. So for now, thejambors.com will prevail as it...

In other news, I finally gave in and bought some ok bedding for baby Brighton’s room (click read more to see some samples). I am actually going today to get some other cute coordinating fabrics I found at the store to doll it up a bit more. But, I figured she might not want to come out till her room looks ready so I am trying to do it a.s.a.p. It’s like my very own pregnancy rain dance... Jared is leaving town tonight for a long weekend and I keep teasing him she is going to come out early while he is gone. I am not going to lie, I would be thrilled (not that Jared is gone, but to get baby out) But it is that time of pregnancy where we have to be ready. We installed the car seat last night (as you can see above, Sasdie graciously stepped in as a model till the real deal can claim her thrown) and I am going to work on packing my hospital bag this weekend. I keep trying to tell Jared they have everything I need already there at the hospital... DRUGS! jk. But if you have any suggestions of what is good to take to the hospital besides like regular bathroom stuff (makeup, shower stuff, toothbrush and toothpaste) and an outfit to bring Brighton home in, let me know. I am kinda clueless. I am the worst packer in our house. Sam and Jared make fun of me every time we go on a trip cause I never bring what I need and usually pack in about 5 minutes... Well, I am off to the store... Talk to you soon!

So I spent a large part of my evening last night trying to spruce up the old blog. I added some clipart and really cool fonts. I updated both Jared and I’s private page. I went to bed thinking everything was looking refreshed and better than ever. After breakfast this morning, I wanted to show Jared everything I had done like a proud little kid. When we went on the big computer in our office, I nearly shrieked at the results. Apparently, other computers that don’t have all the fonts I used, just revert it to some other font. Needless to say, I feel like I wasted a whole night. I will now probably be switching to blogspot shortly...

Today was a Snow Day in Fulton County due to the whole 1/2 inch of snow we got Thursday night. I’m not complaining, I love it! I guess the problem was the freezing temperatures turned everything into ice so everyone was a little (or a lot!!) special on the road. I saw countless collisions in my journey out of my house today. In fact, my parent’s managed to be snowed in to their house. They have the world’s longest driveway with hills, turns, ponds and cliffs on the sides if you happen to venture off the drive. Even in 4 wheel drive my dad’s car was slipping and hardly made it. He actually left town this evening and told my to stay home and not drive her car. We might be nice and go check on her in our truck tomorrow. Our dogs aren’t too sure what to think about the snow either. Nixon slides all over and stops to lick it a lot, while Sadie just keeps moving and trying to stay warm. Other then that, we have had a pretty slow week. Jared and I both started getting sick Tuesday night and I STILL haven’t gotten over it. I sound like a man and am pretty miserable. Plus, this whole sleeping non sense has just really not helped! I have scared myself into delusions that if I sleep in any other position that on my left side, I am somehow hurting the baby. I pretty much wake up in a PANIC every single time that I move at night. So between coughs, peeing, moving/repositioning,dogs, and Jared, I am up several times an hour. Maybe this has added to my prolonged recovery. That, or life is getting me ready for a baby! On a high note, we made Jared’s families FAMOUS mexican pizzas this week. It was SOOO yummy. It took us a while to figure out the proper measurements to use because their recipe is for restaurant quantities. Now that we have, I am sure it will become a regular in our dinner rotations. Another high was that Courtney helped me finish making all the bows we started for baby Brighton (Thanks!!!)! They are so cute! It is official, she has more bows and jewelry than she does clothes! We should probably do something about that! Lastly, todays high was that we found out our good friend Bryce Beecroft moved his wedding back and now we will be able to go to Arizona to share his and Cassie’s day with them (it was originally right around Brighton’s due date). Jared is his best man and we can’t wait to take our first trip with Brighton out west for it.

Tootles!

So I have been busy since my last attempt at blogging so I figured why not ring in the new year with some of our last memories of 2009!

Last Sunday, the boys all left to go Duck Hunting in Tennessee (as previously mentioned). With high hopes, lots of new fun gear (thank you Bass Pro Shop), and the empty road ahead of them, they were off. Unfortunately, the trip didn’t go as smooth as they had hoped. Trying to turn the motor home around to leave my dad’s house, they got stuck in our overly saturated ground/mud Georgia has come to know so well thanks to the recent overabundance of rain. It was quite the adventure watching them try to get out. 1 broken tow strap, 2 Fords, 4 NEW toe straps and J Hooks later, they were out. Thankfully they had thought to get the motor home out and ready the night before and not the day of their voyage. They traveled in safety to their backwoods and very southern location to find that the ducks didn’t like them so much and wouldn’t fly too close despite their camo gear and patience. Their total for the 3 days they sat in the freezing weather, they returned to us with a grand total of 9 ducks. Needless to say, despite some fun memories, it was a little slow. As my dad likes to say, “That’s why they call it huntin’ not killin’!” Click Here to see pictures from their trip!

Meanwhile back in my parent’s heated home, the girls (plus Camo and Sam) had their own type of adventure... My mom got a new toy for Christmas and we decided to really put it to use. She got this thing called a cricket and we made some festive signs for a few holidays. By a few, I mean a lot! We made a total of 5 different signs, but we made multiples of each. The “Be Mine” above is the first of our experiment. They only got cuter with each one we made (or at least we think so). We were either shopping for paper and craft supplies, or “cricketing” as it became known from 10 am to about 2 am for 3 days straight. Click Here to see some of the other signs we made. At any given time, there were multiple crafts going on. Between Jen’s beading (Baby Brighton needs lots of cute jewelry), Andrea’s primary prayer rocks she was making for her 150 kids, Lindsey’s hair clips, my mom’s handouts for her lesson and freaking cute clip boards, we pretty much made half of my mom’s house look like a tornado had come through. It was SOOOOO fun. I am not normally into crafts, but I think I really got into this because between coordinating all the different papers, ribbons, fonts, and colors, it felt like I was designing things with fabric. I guess I get into that ;) As much fun as we had while the boys were gone, I was sooooo excited to have my wonderful husband back! I kinda like the guy!

To bring the holiday fun to an end, on New Years Eve, after all the guys were home, Sydnee, my oldest niece fell down the stairs and dislocated and broke her Elbow. She may have been racing her best friend and skipping several steps in the process, but it was really rough night for her. They had to completely put her under to set her elbow back. Now she is rocking a full arm, hot pink cast. We weren’t there for the festivities, but kept getting updates all night. For New Years, we went to our friend’s the Forsyth’s for a fun New Years Party. It included lots of yummy food, friends, SoBe bombs, fireworks (good ones might I add), and the biggest sparklers I have ever seen! I almost took out a few people’s eyes. No really, I almost did. I don’t have pictures to report the fun times to you with because I am still hiding from the camera whenever possible. Sorry!

So coming back from memory lane to current time, January 1st, 2010, I realized WOW, we are having a baby really soon. The holidays have been so fun and so distracting that all the sudden as I was trying to zip my coat last night and realized it was no longer possible due to the rapidly growing baby girl in my belly. I am 32.5 weeks pregnant and our baby weighs about 4 pounds and our entire life is about to change! Are we ready? Can you really ever be? As we took down all of our holiday decorations today, I realized we still have a lot to do to get ready for this. I think I have been procrastinating doing anything because I am still sort of in denial there is a living thing inside of me that is going to change everything! It hasn’t been because I am not SOOO excited. I just think it hasn’t felt real. Yet, as I have officially started the pregnancy waddles, and as my back feels like it is going to break from carrying this camel hump around, I am realizing that it is! It feels like I have been playing house for years, and this is the big next step! Will it break my bubble of Tiffanyland that I live in? I think so. So to rap up this rather long entry, I am going to write a few of my New Years Resolutions down and I am sorry if a lot of them have to do with baby stuff...

Finish getting all the physical baby stuff ready (paint, last big purchases, install car seat, etc...)
Make a list of all the wonderful attributes of the mother’s I know and admire that I can only hope to someday have.
Finish any and all unfinished projects/cleaning I have procrastinated on.
Continue blogging (even if no one ever reads this, I need some sort of record of thoughts and events). And hopefully, I will get better and better at it!
USE A CAMERA and start compiling a digital scrapbook for every single year. We have gotten so bad about taking pictures, and it makes me sad. I want to be that annoying person who always wants everyone to pose for a a picture everywhere they go.
Work on my cooking and meal planning. Every Monday, if I don’t sit down and plan out our meals, make a grocery list and go to the store, we end up eating CRAP! For the most part I am pretty good about doing this, but there is definitely room for improvement. Plus, besides physically just doing it, I would really like to try and get a little more creative with my meals and branch out a bit more. As if this task isn’t enough, I would really like to try and make some healthier additions to my meals and cut out a lot of the processed food that we eat.
My last and kinda embarrassing goal is to be a little more of a “100%er” in regards to the church. This is a term that I have talked to Jen a lot about over the holidays. I mean, I go to church, I pay my tithing, I try to keep all the commandments and be a good person. But I know there is always room to grow. I especially want to be better about going to all 3 hours of Church (yes that means Relief Society Mom), personal scripture study, and going to the “extra” church stuff, like enrichment and ward parties.

Anyways!!! I am officially exhausted from the holidays and then today cleaning up from them and trying to get back into the swing of reality. It is 8:30 PM and I am SERIOUSLY considering going to bed and trying to make up for lost sleep so that I don’t spontaneously combust from exhaustion and soreness. I really hope tomorrow not to be walking like I just rode a horse tomorrow from all the cleaning today! Wish me luck! Hope you all have a GREAT 2010!

I am about 30.5 weeks in this picture. I just keep growing and growing. I am actually about 32 weeks now, more photos to come when my photographer (Jared) gets home. I have started feeling Braxton Hicks contractions pretty regularly. It is definitely a different and not a most pleasant experience. But we are getting really excited for this Baby Brighton or Baby Sophie (we still can’t decide on her name).

We had a GREAT Christmas with Family. We had a fun trip down memory lane with old slides and home videos of our childhood on Christmas Eve. Some were very embarrassing but entertaining. We were blessed with great presents and lots of reminders of what Christmas is all about. Today, all the men (minus Sam) went to Tennessee to go Bird hunting. I am already missing Jared like CRAZY but you know what they say, “when the cat is away, the mouse comes out to play.” I see lots of shopping and dining out in our near future :)

I’m working on getting back into this blogging thing... Stick with me folks.

No blog entires in over 10 months, have you gotten a Christmas card in the mail from us yet? Are you experiencing radio silence from us minus an occasional Facebook status update? WELL, there simply isn’t going to be a Christmas card this year from the Jambor’s. If you have been eagerly checking the mail everyday in anticipation of it’s arrival, I am here to save you some heartache. As most of you know, we are pregnant, and expecting our first child (a baby girl) the end of February. Somehow, I have been successfully hiding from the camera since this belly of mine has exploded into a small mountain. I actually am starting to think that the fancy camera I bought my husband a while back was a quick lived phaze ;). But just because this isn’t a card, doesn’t mean we aren’t thinking about all of our friends and family that we love so much this holiday season. If you know me at all, you know that this time of year is my FAVORITE! The decorations have been up since November 1st as usual. But it was a little lonely this year not having Kara here to help. Thankfully my mom did come help me make the finishing touches. But besides the decorations (that are awesome), the lack of lights on the outside of my house (that was my selfless gift to my stressed husband and at the time, my gimpy brother-in-law), the beautifully wrapped gifts (that are perfectly thoughtful), and the yummy holiday goodies (that made me gain to an extra peek in my baby belly mountain), we have had a great season so far. For Thanksgiving, we went to Ohio to spend the holiday with Del and Jen’s family. It was also their youngest daughter (our niece) Carli’s baptism. It was so great to get to share that awesome day with her! She is growing into a beautiful little girl! For Christmas, we are staying home this year. Del and Jen are coming to GA to spend it with us! We can’t wait!

Rather than bore you by trying to summarize the ENTIRE past year of missed blogs I am just going to make an early New Years Resolution to be better about blogging this next year! I will just leave you with a little game we play at our house called “Highs and Lows”. I’ll give you a few highs and lows of our year of blogging silence. We always start with Lows so we can end on Highs.

Lows:

Jared’s Best Friend, Brian Earl Beecroft passed away from Stage Four Colon Cancer at the age of 25 on June 20th, 2009. Brian was an amazing person. He excelled at EVERYTHING he loved to do. We all admired and loved him. He had such a tender heart and strength beyond what anyone could imagine. He will be missed dearly.

Both of Jared’s Grandma’s also passed away this past year. They both were blessed with long lives filled with love, family and friends.

1 Root Canal and Crown, still need one more... Expensive and painful

Highs:

Obviously getting pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy thus far

Samuel Thomas Jambor graduated High School!!!

We got another BEAUTIFUL and healthy little niece Lucy Tanner

3 Fun Road Trips to motorcycle rally’s with my HOT Husband

Two of our nieces Bryndi Macdonald and Carli Tanner got Baptized

We went on our first REAL camping trip! Like no generator, cooked in dutch ovens, used our new tent and fun new camping stuff I have been collecting for our emergency preparedness supplies

Made MAJOR headway on emergency preparedness and food storage

Also, a couple of my best friends are pregnant at the same time as me

We have missed you all!!!! Talk to you SOON!!!

XOXO
MAJORLY! Sorry. The holidays as you all know can get a little crazy. The most recent for us were our trips to Ohio and Arizona. I went to Ohio to visit my Brother and his family. Del and Jen moved there a little over 6 months ago. My mom and I went to help with ideas for decorating. We got a lot of planning done. Jared got to come for the weekend. We all went snowboarding and had a good time. Unfortunately, while we were there, Jared’s Grandma passed away. I had to go straight from Ohio to meet Jared, Sam and Kara in Arizona for the Viewing and Funeral. It was a long weekend PACKED with visiting almost EVERY single member of both sides of Jared’s family, hanging out with a lot of friends and eating at all of our favorite restaurants. It felt like a whirlwind of a trip. We had long travel days on both ends of the trip since they were last minute tickets. I don’t think I have ever been so excited to sleep in my own bed. My poor parents watched both of our dogs, which we really appreciate. I am sure it exhausted both of them having FOUR dogs running around.

We were really bad about taking pictures, but click here to see some..

This one above is obviously not the winner, but it made me laugh. Our friend’s Dallin and Michelle, live on a really neat Estate called Glen Ridge. They were nice enough to let us traipse around and take pictures for the afternoon. There were lots of cute ones that we might use for our Christmas Cards, so I don’t want to ruin it but I put a few up throughout the website. It was a fun day. The lessons we learned... Eat BEFORE you take pictures, Kara and Jared struggle at the focusing on the Camera, and it’s HARD to look genuinely happy towards the end of hundreds of pictures... No, it was really a nice Sunday afternoon. The weather was fabulous, the company was the BEST, the grounds were breathtaking. I can hardly wait till the spring to take more pictures.

Last night was the first night we turned them on. People were stopping in front of our house to stare. It made me happy though. I still have 3 more trees to wrap and have to decorate all my garland. So more pictures are to come... STAY TUNED!

Pope vs. Northview. Best of five games. The first two games, we killed them. They got us in the third. We won the fourth! It was over before we knew it. What a great ending to a LONG season... STATE CHAMPIONS! Coach asked Kara if she was glad she moved here, and her answer was a definite YES! (We are glad too) This has been a fun journey, with lots of highs and lows. We will all never forget watching Kara’s dedication to this team. What will we all do with the sudden free time.

What started as just Jared, Kara, and I hanging out watching scary movies turned into a fire pit, my parents, and all of our family here coming over. It was so fun! We set up camp at the end of our driveway so the kids wouldn’t have to go far. We got the fire all set in our new fire pit. Cameron was the best at tending to it. We made smore’s and laughed at the lame costumes we saw. People didn’t even know what they were dressed as when we had to ask. It was fun. After the kids stopped coming for candy, Jon and Courtney stayed to watch a scary movie. We watched The Sixth Sense because Courtney and I can’t handle much worse. Jared scared all of us so bad when he ran out wearing that stupid green mask. Nixon actually barked and ran at him ready to bite him. HILARIOUS. It would have served him right!

None of us put up too big of a stink because we all seem to need to the help every once and a while. But it was a pretty huge party. They did a haunted forest. We all had our stations in the woods, trailer and barn. I heard a lot of screaming, so I assume it went well. I just thought this was a cute pic! We also all were the judges of the costume contest. These kids think of some clever stuff!!! We LOVED Jermaine from Flight of the Concords though! Here is a cute picture of my niece Bentley, Gracie, and their friend Jacob. Also, Kara caught Jared and I asleep on the couch today. We were soooo tired from this weekend!!!

My sister went to Hawaii leaving her three kids with my parents for the whole week. My mom is making major meals all week and invited us all to come. I saw a mess free kitchen and a low grocery bill and jumped all over that!!! I am looking forward to my cooking hiatus (yea right! I will just have to help her make a mess in my mom’s AMAZING kitchen)!! Anyways... I posted a bunch of Kara’s Volleyball pictures on the “About Us” Link. I though AZ Mom and Dad might want to see them. We will add more from State!!! I am off to work some more...

xoxo
